Before you hire.
Is payment required upfront?
Yes. Full payment must clear before the machine is collected or delivered.
What identification is required?
A clear copy of current photo ID and accurate contact and job-site details.
How much is the bond?
The current bond is $500 for either excavator. Return is generally processed within 48 hours after inspection, less any authorised deductions.
What is the fuel policy?
The machine must return full. Missing diesel may be charged at $5.50 per litre.
What if the machine is returned dirty?
Excess cleaning may be charged at $120 per hour.
What is the cancellation policy?
At least 48 hours' notice is required. A 15% cancellation fee applies under the proposed hire terms.
Do you deliver the U17-3?
No. The 1.7 tonne machine is customer pickup and return only.
How is the 5 tonne machine transported?
A suitable tow provider is arranged. Delivery and collection are both charged to the hirer based on location.
What happens if the machine breaks down?
Stop operating it and contact Sunshine State Hire immediately. We have trusted mobile mechanics and will coordinate the next step.
